Western Massachusetts seniors write about life as they remember it

Local Color is an annual publication of life stories written by Western Massachusetts senior citizens. Since 1998 Local Color has collected and preserved these stories of life in the 1900s through today. The precious oral histories captured on paper in Local Color describe the life and times of "the greatest generation" expressed in their own words.

"Mr. George gave many presentations during those years, including 'How to Disarm an Incendiary Bomb,' as he did for our Girl Scout troop. It was very complicated and I did not know if I could remember which wire to cut."
